Public hearing scheduled for September 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Office to discuss repealing and replacing appendices A through G of the General Assistance Ordinance. These appendices regulate the overall maximum allowable income and basic expenses for determining eligibility. The public is invited to attend.: Annually, the municipal officers must adopt the new maxiumum allowable income and basic expenses (housing, food, utilities, heating fuel and personal care to assist the town in determining eligibility for general public assistance.  These maximums are determined by the state for each county in Maine.  These appendicies will be in effect from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.   These appendices shall be available for public inspection at the Town Office.  The public has a right to comment on these appendices at the public hearing which has been scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
